Professor PT Thomas from Taylor’s School of Pharmacy was invited to speak at the PharmaTranspire conference in India, and a MoU was also exchanged between Taylor’s University School of Pharmacy and Creative Education Society’s College of Pharmacy to encourage student mobility and staff exchange.
Professor PT Thomas, Dean of the Taylor’s School of Pharmacy (SoP), was recently invited to give a Plenary Lecture on “Global Perspectives of Pharmacy Education” during the PharmaTranspire 2016 International Conference in India. The theme of this year’s conference was “Design Development and the Practice of Drugs”. The purpose and focus of the conference was to gather and share the knowledge related to the latest techniques and their progress around the globe on design, development and practice of drugs. It was also to create a platform to raise critical issues and to brainstorm for solutions.
In addition, the conference provided an opportunity for researchers and future scientists to meet and network with respect to advances in research. The conference was hosted by Creative Education Society’s College of Pharmacy(CESCOP) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh (India). The Taylor’s School of Pharmacy (SoP) has recently signed a MoU with CESCOP for student and staff exchange, along the lines similar to the existing mobility agreements that the School already has with Mahidol University and Mahasarakham University in Thailand.
