TWO IN A ROW AS ALUMNUS SHAKIR RECOGNISED BY AUS-BANGLA CULTURAL SOCIETY

CQUniversity alumnus Shakir Karim has been recognised with a ‘Best Achievement in Professional and Academic Works’ Award 2016 from the Rongdhanu Aus-Bangla Cultural Society.
Shakir also won this award in 2015, making it two years in a row.
Those present at the 2016 presentation ceremony/cultural function at Lakemba Senior Citizens Centre included Canterbury City Council Mayor Brian Robson and Bankstown City Council Deputy Mayor Karl Saleh.
Parliamentarians Tony Burke and Jihad Dib were also present for the award-giving ceremony.
Originally from Bangladesh, Shakir moved to Sydney to undertake bachelor and postgraduate level study in Information Systems with CQUniversity.
He is currently a Team Leader in Professional Services with SAI Global, while continuing research higher degree studies with CQUniversity.
