Pharmacists Day Celebrated at Gono BishwabidyalayThe World Pharmacists Day 2016 was celebrated at Gono Bishwabidyalay in Savar with the Slogan “Pharmacists: Caring for you”.

Former Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the event at 12:00 pm on the initiative of general students.

University Examinations Controller Mir Murtaza Ali, Head of the Pharmacy Department Dr. Gholam Mohammad including the other teachers were present at the time.

Later, a rally started at the media chattar and ended at the Wi-Fi zone through rounding the academic building, bakul tala, transport yard, administrative building and the academic building. Nearly two hundred students of Pharmacy department took part in the rally.

Head of the Pharmacy Department Dr. Gholam Mohammad said, “Pharmacists are the future of the country. However, pharmacists have some non-attainment. They will be able to play a pioneering role in the development of the country if their demands are met.

In addition, former Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed urged the students to become good pharmacists.

A 23rd batch student of the University Pharmacy department Farzana Sharmin Sathi said, “It’s a happy day for us. And we were able to present our demands properly through this.”
