Canada Has C$10m of Student Exchange Scholarships Available

The Government of Canada has launched a C$10million initiative which is aimed at getting students from ASEAN (Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines) to study in Canada in areas related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The scholarships are for short-term studies (up to two academic sessions or eight months) or for research in Canada in fields of study that are relevant to ASEAN’s efforts to narrow the development gap and reduce poverty in Southeast Asia. The C$10million initiative is aimed at students to study in Canada in areas related to the United Nation’s (UN) Sustainable Development Goals. Professor Perry Hobson, the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement said that, “I was pleased that the University Placement Centre organised this visit with Edu-Canada and the Canadian High Commission” adding that, “we hope to be adding a number of new exchange partners in the near future so that students can access the Canada-ASEAN scholarships”.
